Finding a place that is welcoming to hikers with dogs can be challenging in some parts of Santa Barbara County. Hiking with dogs is not allowed on all the trails in the Gaviota Coast region of Santa Barbara County. Hiking with dogs is prohibited on trails at Gaviota State Park, Refugio State Beach, El Capitan State Beach, Baron Ranch, and Arroyo Hondo. Dogs are not allowed to set foot on trails in any of these properties. What to do?
